"Harnessing" Teen Potential

             Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) for Teenagers
 

What is it?
-EAP is an innovative therapeutic approach to addressing a variety of mental health concerns including behavioral issues, substance abuse, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship problems.  EAP is unique and works especially well with those who are resistant to traditional therapy.
 
-EAP is not a riding program.  All of EAP is done on the ground, requiring  participants to use skills like attitude, teamwork, confidence, creative thinking, assertiveness, decision making and leadership. Our EAGALA Certified Therapist & Horse Professional work very closely with the participants to address underlying issues that surface during interactions with the horse.     
 

Why fund this program?   Funds raised will be used to provide EAP to at-risk teens in Lake County who do not have the means to pay for therapy services.  We are planning to work closely with various schools in the area to identify youth who would benefit the most from this service.  Rest assured, your donation will make a difference in the lives of many.
